About Salvage Yard Tycoon

Salvage Yard Tycoon is a free idle tycoon game for iPhone and iPad. Walk your worker around a 3D salvage yard, tow in wrecked cars, and decide what to do with each one: strip it for parts, crush it for scrap metal, or restore it to sell. Sell your goods at the Market when prices are high, hire workers to automate the yard, expand into new lots, and unlock bigger vehicles, from compact cars all the way up to buses and trucks.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I play?

Move your worker with the joystick in the bottom-left corner. Walk up to a wreck to choose what to do with it, stand near a busy station to help your crew work faster, and step onto a green pad to buy the upgrade written above it. Finished cars turn into goods that ride the conveyor belts to your warehouse, ready to sell.

How do I turn the camera?

Drag anywhere on the yard (away from the joystick and buttons). Drag sideways to spin the camera around your worker, and up or down to tilt it. The joystick always moves your worker relative to the way the camera is facing.

How do I sell my goods?

Open the Market from the store icon at the top of the screen, or walk onto the Market mat in the yard. Prices for each good change throughout the day, and market news can send a price up or down for a while, so you can wait for a good price before selling. Keep an eye on your warehouse: when a good runs out of room, stations wait until you sell. Once you buy the Forklift upgrade, it can sell goods automatically at the normal price. You can turn that on or off in the Market.

Does my yard keep working while I'm away?

Yes. Once you've hired help, your yard keeps earning while the game is closed, for up to 4 hours (8 hours with the Ad-Free Pass). When you come back, the game shows what your yard earned while you were away.

What is a New Yard?

When you've earned enough, you can start a New Yard: you begin again with a fresh, differently themed yard, and earn Blueprints that permanently increase everything your yards earn. Some upgrades, including the Office Manager and the Forklift, carry over to the new yard. Your Gears, collection, daily streak and purchases are never lost.

What are daily rewards, daily jobs and the collection?

  • Daily rewards: open the Daily menu (the gift icon) once a day to claim a reward. Coming back on consecutive days climbs a 7-day track with bigger rewards; missing a day starts it over.

  • Daily jobs: three new goals every day, such as "Scrap 10 cars," that pay Gears. Collect them in the Daily menu before midnight.

  • Collection: the first time you restore each car model, it's added to your collection book (the book icon) and pays Gears. Finishing every model in a tier pays a bonus.

Are there ads?

Ads are always optional. The game never plays an ad unless you tap a button to watch one in exchange for a reward, such as a speed boost or a free premium wreck. If no ad is available, the button says "Check back soon."

What do the in-app purchases do?

  • Starter Pack: 200 Gears and a perfect wreck from your best tier. One-time purchase.

  • Ad-Free Pass: permanently makes your stations 1.5x faster and raises the offline earnings limit to 8 hours. Rewarded ads remain available if you want their extra rewards.

  • Auto-Boost: double station speed, always on, with no ads needed.

  • Gears (Bucket, Crate and Pallet): premium currency you can use to finish jobs instantly.

How do I restore my purchases on a new device?

Open the Shop (the bag icon) and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID you used to buy them.

Will my progress carry over to my other devices or a new phone?

Yes, if iCloud is turned on. Your progress syncs through your iCloud account to any iPhone or iPad signed in with the same Apple ID. Your save also stays in iCloud if you delete and reinstall the game.

How do I turn off reminders?

Open Settings (the gear icon) and turn off Return Reminders. You can also manage notifications for the game in iOS Settings > Notifications.

What accessibility options are there?

In the game's Settings you'll find High Contrast, Large World Text, and separate switches for Sound Effects, Music and Haptics. The game also follows iOS Reduce Motion and Increase Contrast, and supports VoiceOver with actions to walk to the nearest wreck, station or upgrade.

Which devices are supported?

iPhone and iPad running iOS 27 or later. On iPhone the game plays in landscape; on iPad it works in any orientation.

How do I change my ad privacy choices?

iOS asks whether the game may track you; you can change that any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. If you're in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, you can review your ad consent from Ad Privacy Choices in the game's Settings. For details, see our Privacy Policy.

I found a bug or a purchase didn't arrive. What should I do?

First, try closing and reopening the game; purchases are delivered when the game connects to the App Store. If that doesn't help, email us and include your device model, iOS version, and a screenshot or short description of what happened.
